Also, there doesn't appear to be much difference between the speeds. One can confirm all this with the DVD Control/Speed menu. IMO the general implementation of DVD Speed control is shoddy. 'FF' or 'RW' then 'Play' to resume doesn't work, but ID_DVD_SPEED_F1X to resume mostly works (can lockup player). The latest player 1.6.48576 seems reasonably stable (less lockups), but with older 1.5.x versions the only way to resume reliably is using the Skip functions.
